Porcelain floor tiling in a London kitchen
Kitchen Floors

Bermondsey Kitchen Refit

Large-format porcelain floor laid over underfloor heating in a ground-floor kitchen extension. Existing screed was levelled before a 600x600mm matt porcelain went down with a 3mm joint, finished with a flexible grout rated for heated floors.

Bathroom wall and floor tiling with metro tiles
Bathrooms

Clapham Family Bathroom

Full wet-room style bathroom retiled from scratch: waterproof membrane behind a shower, metro tiles up to ceiling height, and anti-slip mosaic on the floor. Corners were mitred rather than trimmed, so no plastic edging strips are visible anywhere.

Herringbone tile pattern in a hallway
Hallways

Islington Entrance Hall

A narrow Victorian hallway retiled in a herringbone pattern using 15x60cm wood-effect porcelain. Pattern work like this takes roughly 30% longer than a straight lay, mostly because of the extra cuts at both ends of the run.

Kitchen splashback tiling behind a hob
Splashbacks

Greenwich Splashback Upgrade

A single-run splashback behind a hob and worktop, tiled in glazed ceramic with a slim aluminium trim at the exposed edge. The job included cutting sockets and a cooker outlet cleanly into the tile face without visible chipping.

Outdoor patio paving with porcelain slabs
Outdoor Patios

Richmond Garden Patio

Outdoor porcelain paving laid on a compacted sub-base and pedestal system, giving a slight fall for drainage without sloping the surface itself. Frost-rated 20mm thick slabs were used, chosen specifically for exterior loading and weathering.

Commercial reception floor tiling
Commercial

Shoreditch Office Reception

Reception and corridor floor for a small office fit-out, tiled outside working hours over four evenings to avoid disrupting the tenant. Polished porcelain was set with a rectified edge, keeping grout lines under 2mm across the whole floor.
